Peterborough Cathedral

The Chapter of Peterborough Cathedral commissioned us to prepare a Conservation Plan for them in 2009. An intensive year of survey and research followed, looking not only at the history, archaeology and architecture of the site, but also at its condition, ecology, access and many other areas. We also looked at the whole of the Chapter's estate within the Precinct, with more than 40 listed buildings alone to deal with. All of these were described in detail in a Gazetteer appended to the main text. As usual with such documents, we went through an extensive programme of public and professional consultation. The completed Plan was published in 2011.
